Welcome!

The Great Neck Public Schools are eager to welcome your family to our diverse community. Registering your child (ren) to attend school is a simple process and the Office of Registration is eager to help. See our Registration and Attendance links on the left of this page, which explain the process and offer guidance on the required residency documentation.

The Great Neck Public Schools can only register your children once your children are living full time and sleeping in a house or apartment inside our district boundaries. Our online registration process provides the most expeditious way to register a child for school. Submitting a complete online application with all the required documents allows the registration process to proceed quickly. Incomplete applications delay the process.

The Office of Registration is open twelve months a year from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Please email residency@greatneck.k12.ny.us if you have any questions. We do not accept unscheduled visits to our office to register a student for school.

As a new resident in the Great Neck School District, with or without school-age children, we ask that you please email the district Office of Registration at residency@greatneck.k12.ny.us, to be placed on the district census. This will ensure that you receive mailings from the Great Neck Public Schools when your children become school age. Please note that if you are new to the district, you may also wish to register to vote in
the annual school budget election, and to register as a new voter in the general elections. Links to both of those forms are available on the left. For questions about school voter registration, please email the District Clerk at districtclerk@greatneck.k12.ny.us.
