As the educational leader of JFK, it is an honor and a privilege to work with such a talented staff that takes pride in their service to parents and students. We look forward to forming partnerships with all community members to promote academic excellence, respectful relationships, a culture of reflection, conversation, collaboration, and commitment to continuous improvement. 

The Great Neck Public Schools provides an instructional environment that supports the intellectual, physical, emotional and social development of each child. Our educational program is designed to develop each student’s ability to think clearly, reason effectively, and acquire the tools of learning and use them with purpose. 

The John F. Kennedy School has been identified by the State Education Department as a Highly Effective school based on student academic progress. We utilize the Columbia University’s Teachers College Reading and Writing Project as the foundation of our balanced literacy program. Our Math in Focus Program is based on the Singapore Math Model.

Our staff is well trained in the Responsive Classroom Approach, and we have embarked on Mindfulness training. Additionally, we continue to have a robust STEAM-M program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics, and Mindfulness) at JFK.

Our success is due to the commitment of our outstanding staff and exceptional support from parents and community members.

As always, I am available to answer questions, listen to concerns, share ideas and solve problems. Through positive dialogue and open communication, we will work in partnership to ensure that students receive the highest quality education in a safe and tolerant learning environment.
