• The Great Neck Teacher Center is an approved NYS CTLE sponsor for holders of Professional Classroom Teacher/School Leader and Level III Teaching Assistant Certificates.​These certificate holders are required to successfully complete 100 hours of acceptable CTLE during the registration period (5 years) if they practice in a NYS school district or BOCES.  
    As of April 2018: Once your workshop is complete and you complete the appropriate Course Evaluations (both in MLP and Teacher Center Evaluations), the Teacher Center will confirm your attendance in MLP for the number of hours you attended.  At this point, you may login to MLP to print out a signed electronic copy of your Certificate. 

    Prior to April 2018, you would have received a signed hardcopy of your CTLE course completion form stating the hours you attended.
    The CTLE certificate includes:
    -the title of the program
    -the total number of hours completed
    -the sponsor's name and any identifying number
    -attendance verification
    -the date
    -the location of the program
    -the Teacher Center director's signature

    Certificate holders are required to retain these completion certificates for at least three years after the end of the registration period in which the CTLE was completed (8 total years).
    The Great Neck Teacher Center will hold on to the original CTLE hard copies (for workshops prior to April 2018) for a period of 8 years. 
    Although your records for the workshops you completed are maintained in MLP, it is to your benefit to print these out and keep them in a file for future reference.
