Student Absenteeism Resulting From Family Travel
We want to remind all parents of Board of Education Policy 5100/4 regarding "Making Up Work." Teachers will not provide schoolwork/homework prior to family travel in accordance with School District Policy. All students are expected, upon their return, to consult with their teachers regarding missed work. Only those students with excused absences shall be given the opportunity to make up a test or other missed work and/or turn in a late assignment for inclusion in their final grade. Make up opportunities must be completed by a date specified by the teacher for the class (or subject) in question.
Classroom celebrations are determined by individual teachers or grade levels. Check with your child's teacher for more information.
Before embarking on a trip, students will be required to submit a signed permission note.
