Mental Health Resources
The District has partnered with Northwell Health to provide additional mental health resources and services, including access to the Behavioral Health Center at Mineola for urgent care. Registration Information

All registration applications are processed online. The GNPS Registration Office enrolls eligible students for the current school year on an ongoing basis. UPK and Kindergarten registration details for the 2024-25 school year are below.
Universal Pre-K
The District offers a half-day UPK program to all Great Neck School District residents at no cost. To be eligible, children must be 4 years old by Dec. 1, 2024. For more information, visit the Pre-Kindergarten Registration web page.
Kindergarten
Any child who legally resides within the school district and will be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2024, is eligible for kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year. All children who will attend kindergarten in a public or private school must be registered with the District.

GNPS/TV programming reflects the offerings of the Great Neck Public Schools and the achievements of its students and staff. Class of 2024—Barstow, Scott Moss, Gleitsman & Taney Awards
Each year, John L. Miller-Great Neck North High School and William A. Shine-Great Neck South High School announce the winners of significant graduation awards. The Barstow Awards are presented to graduating seniors at both high schools. The Scott Moss Award is presented at South High, while the Gleitsman and Taney Awards are presented at North High.

GNPS Staff Granted Tenure
At the June 20 public meeting of the GNPS Board of Education, Board trustees and district administrators joined gathered families and friends to acknowledge, celebrate, and applaud the accomplishments of 27 tenure recipients.
