    GNPS/TV programs can be viewed in the incorporated villages of Great Neck on Cablevision Channel 75 and on Verizon Channel 32.

    The Great Neck Public Schools Community Ed Fall/Winter 2018-2019 catalog is now available. The catalog has been mailed to residents, and it is also available to view on our website.

    Registration and Information - Community Ed classes meet at the Cumberland Adult Center, 30 Cumberland Ave., Great Neck (one block south of Northern Blvd., off Lakeville Rd.).     Ninth Grade Residency Re-Verification


    The annual process of residency re-verification for all students entering ninth-grade in September 2019 is now underway. This is done to collect documentation and assemble student records for high school, and to verify that all students are residents of the district and thus entitled to attend. Additional information may be obtained from your child's middle school (441-4500 for North Middle, or 441-4600 for South Middle) or visiting our Ninth Grade Residency Re-Verification page.

  • Kindergarten Registration for 2019-20

    The Great Neck Public Schools Office of Registration reminds all resident parents and guardians that enrollment for kindergarten for the 2019–2020 school year will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 22, and run schooldays through Friday, Feb 1, from 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Registration will be held at the Office of Registration, Phipps Administration Building, 345 Lakeville Road. It is not necessary to bring your child.

    All children who will attend public or private school kindergarten in Sept. 2019 must be registered. In order to be eligible to enroll, children must have been born between Dec. 2, 2013, and Dec. 1, 2014.

    If a kindergarten registration packet has not been received in the mail, it may be picked up at the Office of Registration, or the registration forms can be downloaded from the Registration Forms page.

    Please bring the following information to registration: (1) Proof of district residency (deed, current tax bill, or closing statement if ownership; current signed lease or current rent receipts, if rental). (2) Three pieces of current, official mail. (3) Child’s original birth certificate. (4) Parent or guardian valid photo ID. (5) Parental control papers (if applicable). (6) Immunization certificate signed and stamped by a physician or other authorized health agency.

Looking Ahead

  • South High Presents "Almost, Maine"

    Theatre South will present "Almost, Maine" from Wednesday, Feb. 6 through Saturday, Feb. 9. All four evening performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the school's auditorium. The play will be performed with two casts performing in repertory.

  • North High Presents "The 39 Steps"

    North High School will present "The 39 Steps" on Thursday, Feb. 7 and Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8:00 p.m. All performances will take place in the North High School auditorium.
