    GNPS/TV programming reflects the offerings of the Great Neck Public Schools and the achievements of its students and staff. Programs may be viewed within the incorporated villages of Great Neck on Optimum Channel 75 and on Verizon Fios Channel 32. Programs are also available on-demand, 24/7, on the GNPS/TV web page.

Registration Information

  • Kindergarten & Universal Pre-K (UPK) Registration Remains Open

    Kindergarten and UPK registration remains open for the 2021–22 school year. All registration applications are now processed online.


    All children who will attend public or private school kindergarten in Sept. 2021 must be registered. Any child who legally resides within the school district and will be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2021 is eligible for kindergarten.

    Universal Pre-K

    The District offers a UPK program to all Great Neck School District residents at no cost. To be enrolled, children must be 4 years old by Dec. 1, 2021.

  • Celebrating Spring & Kindness at JFK

    JFK celebrated Thoughtful Thursday for the month of March with the theme, “With Kindness, We Bloom.” Students wrote acts of kindness and thank you notes on flower petals that filled a bulletin board with colorful reminders of the importance of kindness.

  • Parkville Folk Dance Festival Goes Virtual

    Music teacher Mrs. Golub and Coach Smith led Kindergartners through the final rehearsals in preparation for their upcoming performances, which students will record at home with their families over the Spring Recess.
